Enterprise SONiC Distribution for Campus AsterNOS V6.1R004

We’re thrilled to announce the first release of AsterNOS V6.1R004 for Campus Switches — a new branch aligned with the SONiC community edition.

🔧 Key Highlights

  1. Netconf/YANG - Centralized configuration via XML; supports rollback for consistency.

  2. Rich L2 Features - Port Security, MPLS, MAC learning priority, QoS mapping (TC → dot1p/DSCP).

  3. L2 Protocol Tunnel - Transparent transport for STP, LLDP, CDP across networks.

  4. STP/RSTP/MSTP - Flexible spanning tree mode switching.

hi! is there an upgrade path from 5.2 to 6.1?

dperera@netmetrix.es Hi, 5.2 and 6.1 are 2 separated version, 5.2 focuses on campus access and small data center (access authentication, VXLAN and EVPN, etc) and 6.1 focuses on WAN (MPLS and SRv6 on roadmap). They have completely different feature list, so currently there is no path to upgrade.
